About us

A practice built around how the MCAT actually works.

MCAT Mastery is a private tutoring practice built around one belief: the MCAT rewards reasoning, not rote recall. Sessions are diagnostic-first; we find exactly where your content gaps, pacing issues, and weaknesses live, then build a study plan around real AAMC-style passages rather than a generic approach applied to every student.

Your tutor has personally navigated the MCAT process and understands how to turn practice-test performance, content gaps, and plateaus into a focused strategy for improvement. Sessions combine high-yield content review, concept clarification, passage analysis, test-taking strategies, time management, and detailed Full-Length (FL) exam breakdowns to identify weaknesses, improve accuracy, and maximize progress.

Whether a student arrives from a traditional pre-med pathway or a different academic background, the practice is built to respect that: individualized one-on-one teaching, adaptive study planning, weekly scheduling, and accountability tailored to each student's goals, learning style, and schedule, rather than a fixed study timetable and pre-recorded lectures.

About your tutor

Prep built by someone who has sat exactly where you're sitting.

I'm George, a third-year medical student at the University of Notre Dame Australia, with a B.Sc. in Biochemistry from Concordia University.

Over the past three years, I have specialized in C/P, B/B, and P/S, working with students across every starting point from first attempt to re-applicant.

I took the same road myself, going from a 497 diagnostic to a 516 on test day through self-study alone, without a tutor or a prep company behind me. Working out what genuinely moved my score, and what simply cost me time, is what shaped how I teach it now.

My approach combines strong scientific foundations with practical MCAT strategy, emphasizing reasoning, passage analysis, and individualized instruction tailored to each student's needs.

What we cover

Every tutored session maps to a tested section.

Sessions are taught with the reasoning skills the AAMC actually scores, not just content review.

C/P

Chemical and Physical Foundations

General and organic chemistry, physics, and biochemistry, with heavy focus on translating passage data into calculations under time pressure.

B/B

Biological and Biochemical Foundations

Cell biology, genetics, physiology, and metabolic pathways; the highest-weighted section, taught through systems thinking rather than memorized diagrams.

P/S

Psychological and Social Foundations

Psychology, sociology, and biological bases of behavior; often under-prepared for, and one of the fastest sections to improve with the right framework.

Score moves that changed applications.

I worked with George for five months, and it completely changed my MCAT preparation. I improved from a 493 to a 519 (130 C/P, 128 CARS, 130 B/B, 131 P/S), and I genuinely couldn't have done it without him. His exam review template, passage strategy, and approach to reviewing full-length exams were game changers. He taught me how to practice efficiently, understand my mistakes, and approach every passage with confidence instead of guessing. George was honestly the BEST decision I made during my MCAT prep. HIGHLY, HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

His instructions were always straightforward, and I always knew exactly what I needed to work on between sessions. George was patient, supportive, and genuinely invested in my progress. I'm extremely grateful for his guidance and would highly recommend him to anyone preparing for the MCAT.

George was a huge part of my MCAT journey. What I valued most was how easy it was to communicate with him and how quickly he understood where I was struggling. I went from 121 to 130 in C/P and 122 to 129 in B/B by exam day, which made a huge difference in my overall score. He kept me focused throughout the process and made the whole journey feel much more manageable. I'm genuinely grateful for his help and would HIGHLY recommend George!

If you are not seeing progress in ur MCAT prep, or procrastinating a lot, then George is the right person for you! He genuinely cares about his students' success and explains difficult concepts in a clear, simple way, always focusing on what actually matters. He keeps you accountable and pushes you to put in real effort because he wants results, not shortcuts. After just 4 weeks, I started seeing real improvement, more confidence, faster problem-solving, and a much deeper understanding instead of memorization. Simply one of the best, Highly Recommended!

I worked with George for 3 months during my MCAT preparation, and his support made a huge difference in my progress. I improved from a 489 to a 509, with my B/B score reaching 130 on the final four full-length exams before the actual test and a 130 B/B score on the MCAT. George was incredibly supportive, patient, and always focused on helping me improve. I am extremely grateful for his help and would highly recommend him to anyone preparing for the MCAT.

I worked with George for about two months to prepare for the MCAT, and he's genuinely one of the best tutors I've had. He explains concepts really clearly and always helps you reason through problems yourself instead of just handing you the answer. He listens closely to what you actually need and plans sessions with you, not just for you, which made a huge difference in how much I retained. He's incredibly knowledgeable, encouraging, and his tips were always consistently spot on. My C/P and B/B scores improved the most out of anywhere in my prep, and I really credit his guidance for that. Thank you George for everything!

George is on another level when it comes to the MCAT. It's not just his content knowledge, it's how well he understands the exam itself and teaches you how to think through questions and avoid traps. My approach to passages completely changed, and that's when my scores started improving. 'You don't need to know everything, you need to think better than the test expects you to.'
Natalie
I don't usually write reviews, but I had to for George. I was honestly stuck for a while with my MCAT, especially C/P, and it felt like no matter how much I studied, my score just wouldn't move. Working with him changed that pretty quickly. He pointed out gaps I didn't even realize I had and, more importantly, showed me how to actually approach questions instead of just memorizing content. That made a huge difference. He's also really easy to talk to and explains things in a way that just makes sense. If you feel stuck or not improving, I'd definitely recommend reaching out to him.

George is an exceptional tutor who genuinely cares about his students' success. He is incredibly knowledgeable, but what really sets him apart is how clearly he explains difficult concepts. Instead of memorizing facts, he helps you actually understand the material, which made a huge difference for me. Every lesson was well structured, engaging, and tailored to my weak areas. George was always patient, encouraging, and happy to answer questions, no matter how many I had. I never felt rushed, and I always left each session feeling more confident than when I arrived. If you are looking for someone who is reliable, approachable, and genuinely invested in helping you improve, I highly recommend George. He's one of the best tutors I've worked with, and I'd happily recommend him to anyone.

I started working with George about a month before my MCAT, at a point when Chem/Phys had been a consistent weakness across my practice tests. George was incredibly helpful in identifying the areas where I needed the most support and breaking down difficult concepts in a way that made them feel much more manageable. By the end of our sessions, I went into my MCAT feeling confident in how to approach a wide range of high-yield Chem/Phys topics that had previously given me trouble. I really appreciated how targeted and practical our sessions were, and I felt much more prepared because of them! Thanks George.
Devon
I would recommend George as an MCAT tutor. He did a great job challenging me to think about how I actually read passages and answer questions. Having someone to align my thinking to that which is needed for the MCAT was incredibly helpful, and made the overall test taking experience easier. He is incredibly knowledgable and did an excellent job teaching me key concepts I might have missed otherwise. Very grateful.
Chloe
Studying for the MCAT is a long journey, and tutoring with George has given me the accountability I needed to stay consistent. I also had other commitments outside of MCAT studying, and George was very accommodating in creating a personalized study schedule that fit my needs. He is extremely knowledgeable in all three MCAT science sections and does an excellent job explaining topics I don't understand, as well as teaching effective strategies for solving different types of questions. I highly recommend George to anyone looking for an MCAT tutor!
